Do you feed your dogs table scraps or do strictly stick with dog food?

I've heard a lot of people get pissed if someone gave their dog meat from the table or any other kind of "people" food. What did you think they ate in the wild, Purina Puppy Chow? Who bought them dog food thousands of years ago? I've had 7 dogs in my life and all of them ate table scraps and other stuff, even cookies and candy and, except for Dixie (who had to be shot thanks to an asshole dog catcher), they all lived to be at least 16 years old!

My dog can't hear you screaming his name but he'll hear a packet of cheese and onions crisps being opened from a mile away obviously there's stuff like chocolate, grapes , raisins etc but if it's safe the only risk is obesity or diarrhea.

If she did something good, we'd give her a Hershey's kiss or two as a treat/reward. She had no clue what to do with an M&M. (She, as in: all of my dogs. with the possible exception of Dixie, Pert and Pudge, they were all girls. I was still in my very early years when we had those three so, I never knew if they were a boy or a girl. Fluff, Zippy, Sammi and Murphy were all girls.)

No table scraps... that's very bad. Dogs have different digestive systems than humans. Table scraps can make them sick.

They also have a sense of what's good for them and what's not so, if they won't eat it, it must not be good for them. Everybody says chocolate is poison to dogs! If that's so, why did all of mine, who got lots of chocolate over the years, live at least 15 or 16 years? If it was poison. it would've killed them the first time they got it, right? They all LOVED chocolate and begged for it! I'd take her for a walk and give her 4 to 6 Hershey's kisses when we got back home for being a good dog.

Feed them what I eat. Dog food has no nutrient value. Its made to sit on the shelf for 25 years

I used to eat dog biscuits when I was a kid and I'm still alive (If you can call this, living!) so, why wouldn't "people" food be good for a dog? One of my dogs loved spaghetti!

When I look at how many dogs get diseases these days, it makes me wonder if the dog food people feed them is bad for their health so I believe ordinary food is something they can eat if it is part of their acceptable food diet. During my dog's last week on earth, we fed him a slice of steak and my dad is very stingy but he knew he would never see that dog after the month was over.

Just dog food. I'll buy him treats but I never give table scraps.
