Should you use cat food for puppies?

first of all spare me the wize comments. I know it's called CAT food

someone told me today that mixing a little cat food in with the puppy food is actually good for puppies because of some protein or some other big word. Not 50/50 or nothing just a bit.

Now this person wasn't a drunk or methhead or democrat or pothead or anything else that would disqualify it as a old midwives tale. it was a normal person.

Anyone else heard this? Tried this? Know anything? I only know my puppy loves to get into the catfood if he gets a chance

If you can stomach the smell then go for it.
Dogs are omnivores so can eat almost anything that counts as food (and often do). Cats on the other hand have yo have a certain amount of meat in their diets or they can suffer illness.

It has more fat that is good for cats but can make your dog obese.

I wouldn't recommend it. Cats and dogs have different digestive systems and different nutritional needs. Cat food may not give the puppy what they need, and might even be harmful.

I would rather give them raw egg yolks, even super cheap shit quality ones are better than what they stuff into catfood.

There is ash in all foods. And dogs, humans all need some of it. Ash is just a term for inorganic materials not fire ash which I think you may be thinking this is.

It's actually much less in pet food than humans. Natural food can have below 5%, then when it comes processed foods it can be below 10% most people eat processed foods. Therefore we mostly eat up to 10% within our food. Pet food tends to be less than 3%.
