I did something like that to mine. Last summer my son wanted me to show him some BMX tricks on his bike. I went to do a catwalk and fell backwards twisting my ankle and heard it pop.
I couldn't walk for a few days. I then tried to run on it and it would swell up like yours.
It basically took like 10 months before it healed up and it seems ok now.
You can't keep playing hard on it if you want it to heal, you gotta pace yourself and rest it when it hurts or swells up. Mine still feels stiff in the back of my ankle every morning, but I can finally run and play basketball properly again.
You gotta go easy on it and heal it or you may end up with a long-term injury that causes you to be inactive and gain a bunch of weight.
