How bad is it and how much would it cost to fix this?

Almost anything is fixable unless you've bent the frame.
Obviously you need a new tire.
You might need a new rim.
Even if the rim is not bent, small scratches where the tire seals could cause the new tire to leak air.
It's possible there is some other damage, although there is nothing obvious in the picture.
What do you mean the flat tire had been fixed? Does that mean it was worked on recently before this happened?
Assuming the tire is the only thing damaged, then the cost to fix it will just be the cost of the tire (plus a tow). Unless that tire is almost new, then you normally want to replace tires in pairs. So even if the tire on the other side is not damaged, you might still want to replace it so the two sides are even. If you only replace one tire, you want the exact same tire as the other side.
Tires stores will almost always tell you that you need to replace both tires, because they want your money. Whether you really need both depends on how old the tires are. If you have more than 10K miles on the tires, then it's better to replace both - unless you really can't afford it. If you have less than 5K miles, you can probably get by replacing just one tire.
If you really want to save money, you might be able to find used tires.
Any other cost will depend on what's wrong. If the rim is bad, they can be expensive, depending on what kind of rim you have. Rims can run into hundreds of dollars, potentially more. If you want to save money, you might be able to find a used rim.
The two biggest dangers are that the tire explosion would have caused flaps of the tread to damage the wheel well and so forth, but it doesn't appear to have done so, and that you would have driven too long on the wheel and damaged it, but it looks like you got stopped quickly and didn't damage the wheel (though I can't say for sure from this pic). So, likely you just need a new tire, and any tire shop should have you fixed up within an hour or so. A new tire is probably $150-200 for that vehicle. Be happy - some cars can cost $800+ per tire.
Oof new tire, new rim, and potentially shock and axel damage. It won’t be cheap. But it also depends on where you are. For me where I am it would be about $500 low end and with having a mechanic for a BIL and his discount
I can see why you asked this question anon. Clearly you drove on a flat tire for quite some distance. At the very least it will cost whatever a tire is worth. Possibly a new rim if that is damaged too.

You probably just need a new tire as the wheel looks ok, though it could be messed up. What did you do, get a retread or sidewall patch on the old tire? Just bring it to a tire shop, even if you need a new wheel, stock steel wheels are cheap as hell.
Order a new tire and let the mechanic check if your rim is still straight. If it is straight you just have to buy a new set of tires. ( Tires on both sides of the car are safest when being both from the same brand )
If your rim isn't straight anymore you have 2 options...
1 repair the rim making it straight again and buy a new set of tires for it
2 search the internet for a replacement rim that is the same size and order a new set of tires for them
Easy to fix no big issues at all altough its going to cost you some money to fix it sadly
hahaha how many miles did you drive on it flat? Did it just blow out and you stopped instantly or did you just drive miles on a flat tire while your rim sliced through your side walls? If you drove any distance like that the rim is likely bent or cracked. So you will need a new rim and a new tire. If you stopped instantly after a blowout then maybe the rim can be salvaged and sanded and then a new tire can be put on.
You'll at least need a new tire, and the wheel well and nearby arear will have to be cleaned up. If the wheel was damaged, that will have to be taken care of too.
A new tire and cleanup will run you probably US$300, more if more work needs to be done. If the rim also needs to be replaced, that will be another US$200 at least.
If this had been a front wheel, your steering would probably have been damaged and that could easily run US$1000 or more to fix.
The Tyre yes, not sure if the wheel is damaged from the picture.
There are places that can repair wheels.
I has some curb rash on one of mine so I had it repaired.
300 bucks, can't tell it apart from the other 3.
The other option would be try to find one in a salvage yard.
Also less expensive than a new one.
the rim looks fine you just need a new tire, my dad had a shop just price of tire, disposal of tire at least here in pa and labor, lowball 200 and up depending on price of the tire is your biggest expense
If u have a les swabs go there get some cheap tires, they have a warranty on them too, so if they bust they'll replace for free.
Or u can go too a Mexican tire shop owned by Paisa. Dudes don't speak English much but a used tire is like 50.00$and a new one is like 90.00$ way cheaper then most spots.
Doesn't seem that bad just get the tire replaced.
you need a new tire and depending on the condition of the other tires you might have to replace two of them. The wheel might be damaged as well.
Yes. Just use some glue and it will go back to normal
Some of the rubber perhaps can be re-used.
To save money you can try super-glue and duct tape - and for the rim use a rubber mallet to bring it back into shape.
Don't drive faster than 5 mph, though.
Looks like it's just the tire. As long as you stopped driving it soon after it blew then the rim and everything else would be okay.
You were „under the impression“? 😳 Don’t you mean „under the influence“?
How did you not notice it coming apart? The tire is destroyed, that’ll be a couple hundred to fix if the wheel isn’t trashed too
😲 that looks bad but I don't know cars good
Its easy but u will pay for a new tired this one is long gone. Probably this smelled like fried hell right?
Damn girl, how far did you drive on this flat? If you are lucky you will only need rear tires (get both rears replaced). If not lucky there could be damage to the suspension and the rim.
It a truck tire so more expensive than car tire. If the rim is bent that will have to be replaced or straightened. It is hard to know because your cost of living , it's dependent on your area.
Just needs a new tire, balance and mounting. Probably around $150 from walmart or Costco
Just the cost of a new tire and installing it if your wheel isn't damaged, so not too expensive
New tire at least. May need a new wheel/rim.
Yes it’s fixable, but you might need a new rim too.
the cost of a new tire and probably a new rim as well
The tire or the vehicle? Anyway the pic looks tampered..
Wtf happened?
Rim might be bent, axle damaged, hopefully not transmission.
new tire.. new rim. probably new suspension and new axel.
Nope you're just going to have to Fred Flinstone it now. 😆😆😆
Costs a good amount. To fix it? Change the driver.
What size tire was on?
For now it looks like price of tire and installment labor. Valve stem. Discarding old tire.
Warranty.
I think he may buy a new one
