It was an incredible experience. Definitely plan on doing it again soon.

I run 100mile once every couple months.
The California death race was the hardest.
I blew an ankle 40m to the finish but kept going but it slowed me down quite a lot.
Took 22 hours to do the entire race.
Wow, congratulations. You made a plan, trained for it and then you saw it through to the finish. Not an easy thing to do. I have run 8 marathons and finished 6. My PB was 3:03:09.
I knew i was gonna finish. The last 10kms was the hardest. I wasn't expecting it to be so hot. It was my first full so now I have a better understanding how to do better next time. Towards the end , it was mostly uphill so that killed me and depleted my energy. I need to focus more on hill training.. Overall. It was an incredible experience

No, but I assist in them.
I will be doing the "Escape From Alcatraz" Triathlon in San Francisco this Sunday with a guy friend of mine. I will assist with setup while he does Motor Escort of judges on his motorcycle for the running portion.
We do several of them every year, both Marathons and Triathlons. It is lots of fun.
You are doing the hard part though, I am so glad that you are enjoying it. You are the Hero!
Grats!!! That is so awesome.
I have considered running one, but I know that is very hard: mentally and physically. So I would be content running a 5k, 10k, then progress up to a half marathon and go from there. I love running and do so at least 1-2 times a week. The problem is, there aren't exactly a lot of races or running groups in my area; it's hard enough finding people that like to exercise!
But now that covid is dying down, maybe there will be at least a 5k later this year in my area or state; I might start off with something easy like that and see how I feel.
I've never felt like I could or would run a marathon.
The longest distance I've been able to run was 6 km xD That was 7 years ago.
My dad, however, just ran his 100th marathon this Sunday. Three marathons from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon. - Yeah, he was pretty tired that evening, slept most of the time.
(these are just official marathons, he have also been running extreme runs and such - dude be crazy)
It's never too late to start. He started running when he was in his early 30s. Never really exercised before that (guess he needed a break from us when we were little kids xD ). And then it just went off to marathons eventually, 24-hour runs, etc.
Huh, didn't know that
Bruh I would if I could i suck at running I like jogging sometimes but I legit am really slow like I think im fast sometimes then I see someone beet me on a mile by 5 min and im like okay i suck
Ran a 1/2 marathon at College In the Dessert, here in California, and found it punishing, and I only trained for 3,5,10K. Half marathon was very tough.
I might actually do it... this winter though, never during the hotter Texas' months
@NathanDavis There is nothing quite like Texas in the summertime.
I have always wanted to run the marathon but it is 41.5km longer than I could actually do :D
Congrats!
I actually have! Especially when I was very little, it was one of those things that I was curious about and wanted to do.
Thatβs not my style Iβm more of a knuckle buster punch with your fist
By the time I leave this world and transcend the Force, I will have completed a marathon. By that I mean I will have traveled 26.2 miles on my feet in my entire lifetime. 👍
At one point maybe. However, injuries and time constraints means I cannot commit to the training needed for a marathon. A half-marathon maybe
i want to do it so bad but training takes a lot more time for me due to my asthma
there's a girl called life on rhoads there's a vid called from asthama to marathon she posted definitely worth a watch. It will take time but if ur consistant u can make miracles happen.
Nah. A 10K is the most I would do. Anyway I don't know why someone would like running in a crowd on city streets. I'd rather do a long hike in the mountains.
Well done, it's a mental challenge more than anything else (I've run two of them).
Congratulations!!!
Well done!
I'm proud of you!
I've never ran a marathon yet in my whole life but I wish I could try it one day.. I just wish to lose a little extra weight though before going at it but I'm sure it will be a very memorable and refreshing experience for sure!
Participated in 8 ... I ran 22 half marathons in my life
I was actually an alternate on the 88 Olympic team a mile race and the 4x800
Yeah Iβm still young but things that happened in my life I donβt think I can or would be able to even get far. If I was a teenager then yeah probably
I hate running distances lol. Iβm proud of you though!
Nope. Never understood the need or want. After running 2 to 3 miles, then I would hit the sprints.
I run 45min or 1hour every morning 5am.
So it's not a big deal for me.
No, it gets really hot and humid here so I'd rather not.
I like the thought of it. But then I remembered the last time I tried to run just a mile. NO THANK YOU!
Nope, the first person to run a marathon died of a heart attack. My father died of a heart attack and so did his dad. I don't need to chance it.
Eh, they were both evil bastards. Objectively.
Yes but I never got around to it.
Maybe I'll give it a shot this year.
I have. One time. Never again 😂
Been there done that.
No that sounds like a long torture to me.
So what's the question?
I want to run one before I die.
Walked it twice. Took 8 hours
Yeah, preferably while vacationing in Greece.
Nope, I ainβt built for running
Hell to the no. I hate running.
I've ran two zombie 5k obstacle trail runs. That was enough running for me as it was mostly sprinting dodging zombies only to get the shit shocked out of you at the obstacles. The things we do for love.
No, but Id like too some day.
No but I did run one with my mom one time
I wanted but could not run more than 1 min :(
Where there's will there's a way smh
No but a lovathon.
