I had eye inflammation today, tears without sadness, and eye bruising. Causes?

First my eye kept leaking water but only on one side and now the side that was leaking looks bruised, do you have any clue what it could be? I’m 37 and eat a lot of fruit so I don’t believe it’s cataracts which I believe is caused by low vitamin C.

Did you touch some public door handles etc and then unknowingly rubbed your eyes? That’s the simplest way to get bacteria into your eyes.

That doesn't sound like cataracts. They are also not caused by low vitamin C. There is a very week correlation between cataracts and vitamin C, but that is far from causing it. Most cataracts are age related, and most older people get them to at least some degree. I have cataracts in both eyes, but they are progressing very slowly.

What do you mean leaking? Do you mean tears or eye fluid? Either way you should get to a doc. If the eye fluid is leaking I'd go asap.

There are some things with eyes that are a medical emergency. Don't mess around and take chances with your eyes. Go have it checked out. Some things are irreversible. Wishing you had done something about it when you had the chance doesn't help.
