As much as they charge for dental services and the fact that most people don't have dental insurance and those who do have do have dental insurance it doesn't cover that much. They should have to pay taxes based upon the tax bracket to which they are currently in.

Well, if you're asking us to make an argument for it, I'd suggest that since they provide such a valuable medical service, we want to encourage people to practice dentistry, so if we tax them at lower rates, we will ensure that there are enough dentists.

This is NOT my personal view, which is that they should pay the rate appropriate for their income after business expenses.

They do make a shitload of money but does that mean they should be punished for it. The same rate as everyone else within their income bracket...

You know part of the reason that smaller practices are selling out is the government stress. My neighbor sold his practice to a Dentist in a Box. Basically, there are three Conglomerates and they are more expensive than Cosmetic Dentistry. They sell the low-income dental materials at cosmetic prices. If you want cosmetic filings, crowns etc, they yank your costs up to a whole other level. DO YOU see this where you are?
