Do you think it’s common to get injured lifting weights?

I’m was doing the shoulder press machine. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with my posture. 300 pound shoulder press machine. I guess my posture was off 🤷‍♂️

I’m trying to become a certified personal trainer so I think it’s unacceptable for me getting injured. That strained my neck. I don't know I didn’t have an mri but it’s obviously a neck injury
