How does one curb anxiety without prescriptions?

There are times when I get nervous over nothing. Even just going to work. It causes a small upset stomach then thick saliva in the back of my mouth. I have a weak gag reflex so this makes me want to puke. I sip water to keep it down. Sometimes it happens just going to work. The best way to stop it is to puke but it's always just dry heaving to get rid of the thick saliva.

How can I control this? I don't want to take pills and I stopped pot long ago. I tried to think of why I get nervous. Nothing.

Answers to my previous question made me wonder if this is also a form of stress.
