Do you like going to the Doctors office? why or why not?

I work in both Hospital and Clinic as a nurse. Since I was younger I’ve always enjoyed interacting with medical professionals and the doctors office has always been a pleasurable experience for me. I’m wondering how everyone on here feels about it?

Please nothing crude or weird.

Hated doctors as a kid because they always equaled shots. Hate going now because I have chronic illness so each visit means tons of testing of bodily fluids, prodding, poking, and always more and more money. I just feel like a lab rat tossed from one doctor to another, and rarely if ever do I get good news.

As a child, yes. My dad worked in the hospital and would come bring us lollipops, lol.

As an adult? Not particularly. Usually means I'm frustrated. But i work in the hospital so the treatment is slacking just because you're MDG too.

Someone is taking my blood and it is always painful... says the little cry baby !! Doctors are never on time and billing for deductible treats us like the enemy...

It always depends on the doctor. My current doctor always makes me feel comfortable and is not rushed like some, so it's a comfortable situation.

Not at all. My husband and I are friends with a few doctors, but I like them better as friends. I absolutely do not like to be the patient. I have to control my breathing so I don't get some unusual pulse or bp reading.

I don't like going to doctor appointments cause it puts fear in me plus you never know what the doctor would tell you.

I hate going to the doctor. They always send me to another doctor. The nurses are rude. If I'm naked they will stand in the doorway with the door open talking to the doctor exposing me to other patients while the doctor is examining me.

I always liked it, because they make me feel better. I go there with high hopes. I feel at ease. He's a good person.

I hate it... I hate the atmosphere... I hate seeing sick people... I hate uptight doctors... I never go to the doctor or hospital even with someone and not for me... I even had covid and didn't want to go

Well I have autism and I do not like being touched so when I was getting my school shots as a child my mom had to restrain me and I tried to bite the doctor. I still give the doctor one hell of a stink eye if they walk me through what they are doing

it depends on the doctor patient relationship. my current PCP is a really good listener and focuses on my main concerns. An example would be losing 70 lbs in 6 months and if I didn't express that concern I wouldn't have been able to beat cancer

I do, my doctor is FANTASTIC, she actually listens to me, she remembers things about my life, and also doesn't act like she knows everything - if she needs to refer me to a specialist, she will.

Never a great reason to get up early. But I want to get a lot older, so I religiously go twice a year for a check up.

So far no because the doctors i have been unlucky enough to see haven't helped. Theyve been know it alls, rude, unable to properly listen. either narcissistic or retarded

No not overly. I hate waiting and when I get there 10 minutes before my appointment and have to wait another 30 to 40 minutes it gets annoying
