Eating unhealthy food after intense running?

For the past two months I've been running five days a week on hiking trails, up hills on top of that I've started wearing ankle weights. Before I started seriously running I had a strict diet, I ate healthy meals. Now I've been eating more fast food than I have in a while. I guess it has something to do with the body instinctually going for the higher calorie foods. I'm sure I'll go back to my standard diet after my body gets used to all the intense working out. Has anyone else experienced this. Or does anyone have any takes on the subject?
