I always do my workout with an empty stomach... I can't stand having something inside during my training :D
choose the diet you don't need cheat meals...

yes, but I wait an hour before working out.
the last time I decided not to eat before workout, went badly, I had to go to the gym very early, well at 7, and I woke up at 6:45am just in time to get ready, I didn't have my breakfast and straight to training, after 20 min exercise, I started to feel bad, I was feeling nauseous and my feet were no longer holding up, I felt terribly weak, but I didn't stop, I told myself that it would pass and also because I was doing the same exercises but usually it didn't do me anything at all, It was time to switch to another exercise, my feet gave out, luckily the coach caught me, he told me to take a little break, I left the room and vomited, I told myself never again, I felt so sick that day, so I manage to eat something before going to the gym
I fast before always and measured before and after when I was a sprinter on the track team in school and always set my best PRs when I fasted before. I feast after.
Some people seemed wired differently and set their PRs on a full stomach, but I definitely do better closer to an empty one.
If I'm really hungry, then I might have a teeny snack like a handful of almonds or some blueberries: just the teeniest bit.
nothing
I've ran after eating before and for me, its just awfull
however, this doesn't mean you dont have to, for example, there´s a guy on our CC team who always eats before a race, and he´s one of our top runners!
everyone is a bit different, do what you feel is best for you

before my exercise, swimming for an hour, i eat a low sugar yogurt, zero added sugar with a few natural almonds or nuts unprocessed.
other days for variety a whole wheat bread samwich with low fat cheese or a scrambled microwave egg, not fried, just a minute nuked in glass bowl, and those nuts.
I just have my breakfast which is usually a bit of toast with peanut butter or honey. And then just chill for a few hours while it digests. Or if I've even heavy the night before I'll workout on an empty stomach. Which actually works pretty well. My energy holds out for a good few hours.
Tbh, anything with carbs & protein. I notice that I can go harder for longer when I have some carbs in me. And studies show that people had better results when they trained after consuming multiple scattered meals with high quality sources protein in them. Ideally above 20 grams per meal.
I usually eat afterwards. If I have a hockey game, then I’ll eat 4-6 hours before that, and I’ll just got to Chipotle and get a bowl of rice (white or brown depending on how late/early in that 4-6 hours prior window), black beans, and chicken. That keeps me pretty well fueled.
Coming from an old geezer…. enjoy being 22 and have a cheat meal. I can only do that like twice a year at my age😂😂😂 You’ll shake it right off👍
banana and vitamins at least 30 minutes prior then a glass of power ade zero sugar plus teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of potassium nitrate - taste horrible, so I chug it then take a sip of the power ade to wash the taste out of my mouth!
During the workout: water
Post-workout - water and protein bar
Nothing ussualy i eat right after workout. But you should definetly have a cheat meal Once in a while... Dont worry you won't lose any progress but it will keep you motivated for a longer time
Before a race I only do oatmeal, greek yogurt and fruit 2-3 hours ahead of time with my coffee. I don't want to be carrying extra weight with me on the trip, especially if I'm going to be out there 4, 6, 12 hours.
I feel sick if I eat before I work out, so I always do it afterwards. Always some sort of protein, usually a protein shake.
You have to have a cheat meal.
That's a motivation and a reward. If you keep restraining and depriving yourself, at some point your motivation will be gone.
Before? Half a protein drink. The other half right after.
Something high in protein and fiber, like a banana and yogurt, maybe peanut butter on toast, and some Muscle Milk.
I drink my protein shake. It is usually a full meal with mixture of yogurt, banana, avocado and almond milk.
I eat after & I have a “cheat meal” every weekend.
I fast throughout the week though.
Chocolate, cornflakes, protein bar… I can’t do much on a completely empty stomach.
I like it to be part of a fasting break , so nothing basically , very occasionally a banana.
usually i'll eat after a workout rather than before because when I try to exercise on a full stomach that usually leads to me feeling sick.
I usually only eat cheat meals on the weekend when I'm not working out.
I try not to eat for at least a couple hours before. Made that mistake already 🤢
