Trending & News Todays doctors don't listen to you.

I don't have any issues, my doctor is great, but because he is so great, he is booked out a least a month.
The ACA made things worse around here, that lots of doctors retired and not enough new ones came in replace them while giving more people access to insurance.
As a result many doctors are just rush rush, you made the appointment for this issue, that is ALL you can ask about, if you have another issue make another appointment.
My doctor takes extra long and runs behind as a result, but lucky for me... they aren't letting him take anymore new patients, you have to get a waiting list now and wait for someone to die or move to get in with him.
I suggest having a list of issues, write it down in your phone or on a paper so you can be sure to bring everything up.
I was raised holistic. Rarely do you find a modern doctor who respects that. I found the best modern doctor I’ve ever been to on a random day in an urgent care. She even gave me her email address. They do exist.
Thanks for “mho”. I hope you find a doctor who understands you.
Frustrating, we are seeking a 3rd doctor for my wife. What's wrong with today's doctors, sad her original doctor finely retired and she really listened to her
Good ones are one in a hundred these days. We just had one of those retired too. The office said all her patients are so upset.
I am a diabetes expert since 1997 and i do get in arguments with doctors and challenge them, when they stick to what they read va me who has diabetes and i tell them (alright! Me versus the book that taught you about my diabetes) and they all end up giving up and with time they choose my side and really try to help, and in my journal it says (he is the expert, he knows better than you) when i meet a new doc. If they don't listen at all, i just leave and tell them (read the book again, call me when you know you are wrong) 🤷♂️. It works, since 2014.
I have stood in front of the door before. That was the last time I ever had to struggle for his ear and attention

Doctors are only given maybe 15 minutes for each patient because of overbooking, so sometimes they don't listen as well as they would if given more time with each patient. I don't know about you but sometimes it takes weeks to get an appointment sometimes. I imagine money is the top line. the more patients they see in a day, the more money they make.
I don't know. They really don't care what i have to say.
Sometimes i think they see me as a little girl
Sounds like I must be one of the very few who has no communication problems whatsoever with my Doctor/GP... Might just be my assertiveness and confidence.
Find a new doctor, I am serious, my guy sat with me for a half hour one day.
This is the third doctor, we dumped the other two for not listening
I just stop them and ask them since they are always in a rush to get you out yet make you wait so long in the waiting room
I don't know say it slower and louder?
