Why I'm losing soooo much hair during the first month of taking finasteride pills?

I started taking finasteride and biotin pills one month ago. My hair fall was reducing but suddenly i noticed tooooo muchhhh hair shedding. I don't know why this is happening.

Yep I heard that can happen when you take those pills. I wouldn't worry too much, it does come back

That's a prostate medication, what are you using it for?

My doctor recommended it.. I've used minoxidil before but it didn't work.

Because of excessive hairfall... and he didn't find any cause.. so he described it as alopecia

I don't see that as a prescribed use listed for that medication. Is he a gp? My might want to see a specialist for a second opinion.
