Sure. Just eat lots of chicken breasts. And some steak.
I generally don't take protein supplents that often. Just for a day when I realize I ate or am unlikely to have eaten any significant protein.
Ie like I had pancakes for breakfast, salad for lunch and girlfriend is making veggie dish for dinner... I'll slam a protein shake or two. That's all though.
If I had eggs and bacon for breakfast, beef taco for lunch and having chicken whatever for dinner, I won't take any extra protein.

Supplements cram more nutrients into a meal, than eating it conventionally. It works out cheaper in many cases too.

Of course. It's a bad habit to take regularly useless supplements. If you're eating in a healthy well balanced way, everything necessary to your body is already there. To build muscles, doing some sports regularly should do.
