HELP how can I stop my itchy cough?

i had this issue few months ago,, it was a cough that lasted a month I think. It wasn’t phenmonia , doctor had said he also had same issue as me & it went away on its own. He said the same thing will happen to me and it’ll go away on its own. He was right. But again last wk I got the flu, today barely recovering from the flu feel better now but have this same annoying itchy cough. I’m tired of coughing. I have to go back to work Sunday and I’m worried I’ll be coughing all day at work 12 hours. I took a hot shower and began cough nonstop to point my stomach hurts. I’m always warm inside my home but have to go out to work or buy food. I use sweaters beanie, and it’s still cold there’s still cold air. Hot tea doesn’t cure the cough.

You just have to ride it out until it goes away or ask your doctor to prescribe you something to help. There's so many reasons why you could have a lingering cough and he'd have to get down to the bottom of it to figure out how to treat it. That's the best thing to do if it's so bad that it's disrupting your everyday life or sleep.

Last time I got the cough for a month and doctor said it’s supposed to go away on its own it was upper respiratory infection

I think you need to buy warmer clothes than what you have. And take hot showers everyday or twice a day.

I’ve been buying new warm clothes past months I’m tired buy warm clothes. Why did I begin get cough attack during my hot shower? I cudnt stop coughing

Cough attacks can happen at anytime. From mist of hot water as well.
