Why some dentists don't know brushing right after eating (amd acids soften enamel) will brush away and thin enamel?

They advise you to brush right after instead of using mouth wash to kill germs- wait some time then brush when enamel rehardens.

It's possible if you had highly acidic foods to eat, that the enamel could be loosened and inadvertently brushed away. Non-acidic foods don't present that issue, but it's better to wait at least 30-60 minutes either way. Food left on your teeth will not have a chance to start decaying during that time, so you're fine to do so.

I haven't heard of a dentist recommended to brush right after a meal since I was a kid! Floss or water irrigate, yes... but not brush. Great post just the same!!

No idea. My dentist has told me for years to drink water after eating or drinking other stuff, swish it around, and then wait 30 minutes before brushing. Sadly, I wasn't told that as a kid, and that might be part of why I have 4 small cavities that had to be filled and my teeth aren't as white as they used to be.

Because some only care about the money they make. They know by not telling you it means you will be eventually going back to them for treatment, which puts money in their pockets. It's like dentist that charge hundreds of dollars for in chair dentist professional teeth whitening treatment. What many of them fail to tell people, is that not everyone is a suitable candidate for teeth whitening.

With a medium toothbrush. But if you use soft toothbrush and you don't "rough up" your mouth you can do twice a day.

My dentist told me get a soft brush and I already have they say I'm too rough on my gums .. looking at an x ray

Best is to rub your finger on gums once or twice a week to make them stronger.

If you brush twice a day you are using brisles to chip of the calcium from your teeth each day little by little.

Its like polishing a rock it will be harmed and you cannot make it the shape you like as well as it's your teeth it's already squarish 😂.
