The burden of reproduction has always been on women no matter how much men tell themselves that they deserve the credit because it wouldn't be possible without their 'seed'.

In couples experiencing infertility, it is usually 1/3rd women, 1/3rd men, and 1/3rd both having fertility issues. Yet, the burden on trying to conceive is entirely on women to the point that there are actually men who KNOW about their infertility and still refuse to come clean to their wives who are getting all kinds of pills and injections. I was so infuriated the day I learned about this.

Also in couples trying to NOT have kids, the burden of birth control is again on the woman. Condoms are easy and cheap and help to prevent STIs, and there are still men who refuse to wear it, they don't get vasectomies and women are the ones expected to take pills, get an IUD, or even get their tubes removed. When trying to make birth control pills for men they ended up not making them because they were causing lots of 'side effects' for the men, although the level of side effects was just the same as birth control for women but we are just supposed to deal with all the weight gain and skin and mood changes that come with it.

While a woman's fertility does decline with age, it's not to the level of 'baby panic' and with medical science advancements and higher education it has become much safer than ever before. Sperm banks don't even accept sperm of donors aged 40 or even 35 sometimes. The risk of down syndrome and other diseases increase with time with older sperm. I find it very funny how women have to explore the option of freezing their eggs at a young age but no one ever gives the idea of men also storing their sperm for their own use in the future.

It's cuz they've truly only studied women's reproductive health in depth. Women go to the doc starting from ages 12 to when they die. Checking/tracking everything that could possibly be wrong and what happens overtime to their fertility.

Men on the other hand almost never go see a doc for their reproductive health so it's not looked at often enough. Even tho it is being looked/studied more with couples seeking infertility health. Still never been tracked as in depth as womens reproductive health.

This leads people into believing that fertility only drops for women cuz that's all they know. If they studied more men and put the data out there then everyone would know that our biological clocks are the exact same.

The idea that only women lose their reproductive fitness as they age is a common misconception, and it can be partly attributed to societal norms and gender biases.

In reality, both men and women experience declines in their reproductive ability as they age. For women, fertility decreases with age, making it harder to conceive and carry a pregnancy to term. However, men also experience declines in fertility and a decrease in the quality of their sperm as they age.

Despite this, the idea that only women lose their reproductive fitness is perpetuated by cultural norms that prioritize women's reproductive roles and place a premium on youth and fertility. This can result in negative attitudes toward women who are older or who have experienced infertility, and can create pressure for women to have children at a young age.

It's important to recognize that fertility and reproductive ability are not solely determined by age, and that there are many factors that can impact a person's ability to conceive and have children. For example, this woman bounds herself and worships me as her Lord and Master, thus receiving the blessings of the Lord Bean2k21.

Why do people think only women lose their reproductive fitness as they age?

Overall, the idea that only women lose their reproductive fitness as they age is a misconception that reinforces harmful gender biases and reinforces the idea that women's worth is tied to their ability to have children.

In fact most slaves such as @sixofclubs find their pleasure in breeding thoughts of how they will best serve me. It can be as simply as saying "Good morning, Master" or standing in a corner and squeezing your nipples.

it's actually not entirely untrue tho. cause there's no woman who gets pregnant at 50 or up. but there's men who make women pregnant at 90 years of age. the reason men don't have children with that old age is often not their fertility (which does go down for some) but mostly related by their wifes being infertile at that point.

Women's reproductive system itself is like a clock. It is bound to start around 10 to 14 years of age, and stop (menopause) around 48 or above but around that, years of age. My parents believe it to be like a clock. Exceptions should not be considered as they defy the rules that work for the majority.

Referring to the comparison in the image, that is just nature. You cannot do anything about it. A female body is more elastic when she is just young, around 19 to 24. After, that, naturally, her body begins to harden up. But this totally depends on how they maintain it.

My mom is a professor at a medical college. She notices that, because medical girls know the severity of late pregnancies, and the disastrous risk associated with it (both them and the kid), they quickly get married, and the first thing they do is have one or two kids. That's it. They are free to chase their dreams without any tension afterwards.

The exact opposite trend is seen in serious engineering girls, for the majority.

Don't ignore the image. It is very true. My mom sees so many cases of rich, down syndrome children just because their parents got either married late, or some congenital mishap happened due to late pregnancy. (If you want to go on that path, that is.)

women normally lose it way earlier than men. that's why. like after 45 even the most fruitfull women will be sterile, while male fertility only slightly goes down after 45 and there's not few men who's fertility lasts till their death. yeah for some it deminishes with the loss of testosterone in ther late 40s but you can get testosterone replacement therapy so yeah...

the problem with reading "fertility" stats is that fertility is the social scientific term for "reproductive frequency". so if you look at fertility statistics by age, it's a measure of how often people have children, at certain age groups, not a measure of whether or not they theoretically are still fertile biologically speaking. obviously that stat goes down once their wifes are infertile. most men marry a bit younger women but when their wife is 45, they won't have children anymore and that's why male fertility stats go down too but way later after 45. not cause they become infertile but cause at that point usually their wifes are infertile.

so sure there is certain issues that can cause male infertility that sure do become more frequent as men age. like low sperm count, prostate cancer, enlarged prostate or errectile dysfunction. though there's no biological point where "all men are infertile" as with women at like 40-45. as i said their average ability to have children does go down slowly but some men can theoretically still have children in their 90s, which most men actually don't even get that old, as male life expectancy is 69 years globally and like 77 in the EU. so it's not all that rare for men to stay fertile till they die.

that of course ignores the issue of birth defects that also slowly rises in men after 45 but also way not as severe as in women.

The decline is often more pronounced and noticeable in women due to the limited number of eggs they are born with and the fact that the quality of their eggs decreases over time. This can make it more difficult for them to conceive and carry a pregnancy to term as they get older.

In men, the decline in fertility is usually more gradual and less noticeable, and it can be due to a decrease in sperm count, motility, and quality.

It is important to note that both men and women can take steps to maintain their reproductive health and increase their chances of having a successful pregnancy, such as eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, avoiding exposure to toxins, and managing stress levels.

I don’t think anybody believes men don’t have fertility issues or that their fertility does not decrease. It just happens much more gradually than in women. That is why it talk of women losing their fertility is a cultural thing. Because if a woman wants to have children when she is in her late thirties, she knows the clock is ticking. For men this is a much less noticeable process and they are less concerned about it. Men who want children will be fathers long before their fertility noticeably declines.

because when women lose their reproductive fitness, it is drastic. when men lose their reproductive fitness, it is a slow gradual process that ends with their mortality

why does your graphic bring up alcohol and smoking as if its gender specific?

fact of the matter is, an 80 yr old male can still get an 18 yr old female pregnant but it would be impossible for an 18 yr old male to get an 80 yr old female pregnant. male sperm is constantly regenerating. female eggs don't regenerate once lost

how a baby grew up and the environment he/she grew up in plays a bigger role on his/her mental health than how he/she was born

"People"? think that because they're uneducated on the subject. LOL It's that simple. It would be nice to acknowledge that if you're ignorant on a subject, you'll have no reference and either believe hearsay, or what you "think" you know. It's a lack of knowledge, which is available upon research, that makes people assume what they don't know!

I'd like to get through a day without hearing that societal norms or gender biases are the causes for simply not knowing information and facts! LOL

Because only women do... what is the argument? I'm 40 but I know damn well if I fuck a chick under 20 years of age... a damn baby is going to squirt out 9 months later. I also know if I fuck another same-aged 40 year old... nah, that's probably not going to happen... and if it does... health problems.

We dudes die faster, but you chicks lose the eggs even faster. Your reproductive fitness is shit after 30 and I at 80 years old can still easily get an 18 year old pregnant.

Yes men have a biological clock too, but it less obvious, many old men are having children.

Women lose the ability to have a successful pregnancy and healthy offspring much sooner than men do. Women after 35 and men after 55 lose most of their ability to have healthy kids. Only dishonest people try to claim that men never lose that ability, and other dishonest people try to claim that men lose that ability around the same age as women.

Because that was the common understanding until 10/15y ago. Now we learn more because more studies are done, in 20y people will find it normal that both men and women have best before dates re. fertility.

Because they don't have a proper knowledge about reproduction process and females have more complications in reproduction system as compared to females. Now a days PCODs have more common in females that's why doctor have invented a vaccine which can prevent any cancer related to reproduction but it is not as famous as other vaccine like smallpox and polio but in future days govt may be make complsury vaccine for females.

That's the difference - women at this age cannot have children at all.
