We were sparring in our self defense class and I threw a high kick and it caught her square in the boob, not super hard, but she needed a timeout from the match.

how bad does it hurt?

It depends more about where she is in her cycle. If her breasts are tender and you kicked her I bet it hurt really bad. She probably had to catch her breath.
