Will they test me or should I just not?

So I had send with someone around five months ago. It was protected but today I heard a rumor that this person has been spreading hsv around his campus. I haven’t had any symptoms or been with anyone since but should I go get tested? I’m having a nervous breakdown right now. I got tested after but nothing showed up just as a precaution. But I see panel tests don’t test for hsv so should I go get one? Will they do it? I see they like to test the actual sores but I wouldn’t need a test at that point it would be obvious. I don't know what to do
