I pierced my nostril a little over a month ago. It was healing well until 2 weeks ago I accidentally snagged. It ended up getting an irritation pump around the stud, externally. I tried everything that was advised, including sea salt soaks, and it didn’t go down, until I used a silicone gel scar sheet and it completely went down and back to normal overnight. I only realised today that there’s a bump inside the nostril now, it’s around the bar. This bump looks different from the one externally though. This one is almost a perfect rounded circle around the bar, while the external bump was not, it was much more uneven and had a larger bump on one side. Is this internal bump normal? If not, what can I do to let it go down?

It's not uncommon to experience bumps or lumps around a healing piercing, especially if it has been recently irritated or bumped. It's possible that the bump inside your nostril is a keloid, which is a type of scar tissue that forms around a piercing. However, it could also be a hypertrophic scar, which is another type of raised scar that can form around a piercing.
There are several things you can try to help reduce the bump inside your nostril:
1. Saline solution: Use a sterile saline solution to clean the piercing and the surrounding area twice a day. This can help keep the area clean and reduce inflammation.
2. Chamomile tea: Brew some chamomile tea and let it cool. Then, apply a warm compress to the piercing for 5-10 minutes several times a day. Chamomile has anti-inflammatory properties and can help soothe the skin.
3. Tea tree oil: Dilute tea tree oil with a carrier oil, such as coconut or jojoba oil, and apply a small amount to the bump with a cotton swab. Tea tree oil has antimicrobial properties and can help reduce inflammation.
4. Avoid touching or twisting the jewelry: Make sure to avoid touching or twisting the jewelry, as this can irritate the piercing and make the bump worse.
5. Consult a professional piercer or a healthcare provider: If the bump doesn't improve after a week or two or if it becomes more painful or swollen, it'simportant to seek the advice of a professional piercer or a healthcare provider. They can examine the piercing and determine the best course of treatment.
It's important to be patient and consistent with your aftercare routine. Healing a piercing can take time, and it's important to give your body the time it needs to heal properly. If you continue to experience problems or have concerns about your piercing, don't hesitate to seek professional advice.
They should give you a healing cream kit. Assuming. Never got my nose pierced before.
Okay I’ll find out from them, thanks!
