Do you believe that ADHD is a real disease, or just a hoax to suppress the energy of creative children?

I was falsely accused of having ADHD by, I'm not going to say what religion, what people the doctor was from. We all know I can't say that or I will be labeled anti-semite.

I believe it is a real disease because I've studied it. It isn't as clear cut as hypothyroidism or high blood pressure but there are therapies and evidence based treatments for it.
However it is hard to diagnose and just be done by a mental health specialist but I have a friend who I'm convinced has ADHD because he has the traditional signs and mannerisms.

Definitely real, just a difficult one to diagnose and manage

Definitely a real disease. I have seen MRI scans of a normal brain, and one with ADHD. You can definitely see something different in the brain 🧠 of the ADHD brain. It's a deformity in the brain.
I live with a man who has ADHD and to me it's like a busy Einstein with lots of energy and a very messy person. He's both.

It's real, but it is overdiagnosed and medicated for people. Also, I believe the recent changes in how kids are raised in relation to technology has a part to play in people's ability to not focus. There's also others who grossly exaggerate their symptoms to seem like they have ADHD in attempt to seem quirky.

This is coming from someone with it and has taken medication for years. I believe someone really has ADHD when it genuinely gets in the way of their life to the point it's an issue. For example, it is a VERY bad idea for me to drive when not medicated, since I barely escape accidents every time I do. Half of the time I only escaped them, since I was driving with someone else in the car teaching me how to drive. Sure, I was still learning, but I never made those mistakes while medicated.
