I want one but I would prefer one that was either fat previously or is fat currently, and maybe someone who’s in my age range. Is there like websites that people use? Or do you just have to check at the local gyms?

Personal trainers are almost exclusively used by women. Their basically are version of strippers.
What? I didn’t know, I’ve seen men with personal trainers but I didn’t know there was a disparity
Why do you feel like a personal trainer that was previously fat would benefit more? Curious
Because they would know how it feels to actually be fat as well as what it takes realistically to lose it. Why would I take advice from someone who’s been skinny their whole life
I’m in this industry myself and personally you should try to venture out to trainers where you can see best results from clients they have worked with. I know having a relatable story to a trainer sounds better for you, but if you seriously want a change , there should be no excuses for yourself.
It’s not an excuse it’s a preference
I understand , but no matter what trainer you have in front of you, you have to be willing to change yourself. I train with my personal trainer twice a week and meanwhile I’m putting in work , I see people that talk with their trainer for 30 minutes and that’s it. They don’t put in the work and they are paying for literally a 30 min therapy session.
So just keep in mind , fixing yourself starts with you
Okay I’m confused what the correlation is here; and shouldn’t you be focusing only on yourself if you’re with your PT?
A personal trainer is only there to give you a plan and a work out, if you aren’t putting in the work and have a focused mind , a personal trainer doesn’t matter. So that’s what I’m saying, keep in mind that a person that used to be fat can’t necessarily help you through guidance you might need as what you may need is beyond the work they actually do.
And no I’ve learned a lot from watching people around me in the gym, even with my trainer
Id look for an online bio of any trainer whom you might think is right for you.
