It is known that heating the testes makes men infertile, and for this reason was once a popular method.
My biggest problem with this method is its feminizing impact on testosterone levels.
But what if cooling below the temperature of healthy sperm production doesn't harm testosterone levels? Why are there no published articles about it and do any of you have any experiences to share?
I could only find some information on beetles and their sperm and testes at temperatures below 30°C.
The only studies that showed T levels peaking in summer, included very young people, one was with 19 year olds in the mix and the other only 6-12 year olds. But young people eat more junk food on Christmas, hence they lose in winter. Also in studies of testicle boiling, the ages around puberty did not lose testosterone when their testicles were heated. Only adults lose T as a result of testicular overheating.
After being transferred to an infertile mouse, testes tissue from a rat that had been frozen for more than two decades gave rise to sperm and germ cells.
