Why do people come to a warm climate , because its warm and then run an aircon all day?

Older split systems make a LOT of noise , cost a lot to run and piss off all your neighbours , why come to a hot climate , knowing its hot , and then just running one all day? It makes zero sense , that's what you are trying to escape !

The way weather works is that if you do not have to suffer through a brutally cold winter you will have to deal with hot summers. I live in the northeast and I would gladly trade a month or two of high heat and never have to shovel that white crap again.

I’ve talked to older people here as I grew up in Florida. They moved down from the northeast for two reasons: no more snow and their bones hurt less

Yep I gave you two reasons. The facts are before aircon was invented most of Florida wasn’t even populated. So it’s just an accepted part of life as recently it’s been over 100

Its a super warm climate here , Florida is closest in the USA , but its hotter here , personally I never use aircon , and it should never be an accepted way of life , for a start its not healthy , if you like heat like I do , you need to know how to deal with heat and not to upset others leaving it running all day.
