Dumb question but what does capped at £50 per month actually mean?

So my work has this agreement to pay gym membership which is capped at $50 per month.

So if my membership was $100 a month , how much would work pay?

Is that 50 per worker or 50 the entire budget?

If it is 50 per worker it would mean they would only pay the 50. If it is 50 for the entire budget, I guess the 50 would have to be divided up between how many workers there are.
