How long can you do CLOSEUP WORK until your EYES get TIRED?

As part of my work, I often edit documents on the computer. I can usually go 30 or 40 minutes of constant editing before I have to give my eyes a break.

If you're doing closeup work (editing, texting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, watch repair, etc.), how long can you usually go before your eyes get tired and you need to take a break?

I could go for hours if I had to, I can even work when tired AF

but I just don't do it... I take lots of mini-breaks during the day

my sight would be fine, it would be my lower back paying the price though... lol

Video editing on pc. I could sit there infront the screen, keyboard and mouse for 12 hours without a problem.

You should use eye mist spray, sunny. Surprised you've got to your age without knowing that.

You can make your own with deionised and distilled water, and saline solution in a 3:1 ratio. But that's more for when you have time on your hands. Or when you're doing closeup work ensuring all those kids stay off your lawn, so you don't want to nip down to the shops to get eye mist spray, or know how to use the delivery app...

Usually, three to four hours. It’s what I do almost every day.

I use artificial tear which helps a lot when my eyes get tired.
