Can I make a complaint?

Ok so this is my first pregnancy and I’ve been seeing stories of women being told not to push when they’re crowning if the doctor isn’t there and how it can be dangerous…is it legal for them to do that and can I make a complaint if it happens

Yes this happens. With my 1st child they held his head in till the doctor came. It was so uncomfortable since my body was pushing on its own. It's not a big deal but sometimes your body is just gonna do what it's gonna do and the nurse or someone else will have to catch the baby.

Nah its not really a big deal. They just want the doctor there incase something goes wrong like shoulders get stuck or cord around the neck. I'm glad they held him in cause my son had his cord double wrapped around his neck

not very common but not unheard of, if Dr. for some unforeseen reason isn't there that's why other medical staff is or even and on call Dr. don't get yourself upset or worry, your medical team is there to help you through the delivery. and on the super outside chance if something like that happens of course you can make a formal complaint.

" the ring of fire" or crowning is the second stage of labor, where the babies head can be seen through the opening of the vagina, once crowing that means the baby is coming out and there is no way in the world to stop it. normally if you hit the buzzer a nurse will come in if that happens.
