Where did the summer go? ?

I just blinked and it was gone. Did anyone have any fun?

Yes, it really flew by, which is always hard for me as I am a strictly Spring/Summer guy. As far as I am concerned, the year would be perfect if it began on April 1 and ended on August 31 and then flipped back to April 1. Rinse and repeat.

It always goes by too fast. The spring flowers, the chirping of crickets in the evening. The sound of waves on the beach. The list goes on.

The only consolation being that we learn to appreciate it because it does not last. We cherish what we have only temporarily because it is temporary. The only extra benefit being that in the case of Spring and Summer, we know we will see them again.

Yeah it goes by quick, so I did a lot this time, visited other islands near me, one I was able to take the car on the ferry and one there is no vehicles allowed on it , also went to Pittsburgh to visit two of my daughters and and went to Canton Ohio and visited a nice big vineyard and winery and had an Italian dinner there

That's what I want to know! It was a cooler summer. We opened the pool late because it was cold and rainy until half way through July. It seems like summer just got here and it's already gone. We had temps in the 50s the other night. Brrrrr!!!

Yeah it really did fly by fast… I barely did anything this summer other than work until end of July and my birthday trip to Vegas.. Our Hotel pool 🏊‍♀️

I remember your post about how you can hardly wait for summer to get here. 🙂 To me it's not close to being over. Where I live, the heat lasts till the end of September. I love October after enduring a 90 ° hell hole. My body feels different in a good way too. Wonder how that works?

I spend my two weeks summer vacation - recovering from our summer break period at work.

Did go to Copenhagen and spend time with my father and little mor (Stepmom) before summer - which was great (except from the heat that week).

Fun? No. It was cool until early June and then we dealt with 90-100+ temps until now. No relief in sight.
