My height is around 165 cms long but recently I gained too much weight and I weigh around 60 kilos. Is it too much for a girl? What do you think about 60 kg female body?
In my research, a weight of 60 kilograms for a girl can be considered within a healthy and normal range, but it's important to note that the perception of weight can vary greatly depending on several factors, including height, body composition, and individual body goals.
For a girl who is relatively tall, 60 kg may be on the lower end of a healthy weight range, whereas for a shorter individual, it could be towards the upper end. Additionally, body composition matters; someone with a higher percentage of muscle mass may weigh more due to muscle density, while someone with more body fat may weigh the same but have a different body composition.
It's crucial to emphasize that a person's weight should not be the sole indicator of their health or beauty. Factors such as overall health, fitness level, nutrition, and body confidence are far more important. The most critical aspect is to maintain a weight that promotes physical and mental well-being, rather than aiming for a specific number on the scale. Consulting with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian can help determine what is healthy and appropriate for an individual's unique circumstances and goals. Ultimately, being healthy and feeling good about oneself is more valuable than any specific weight measurement.

body weight isn't a good indicator for health.
you could have a female weight lifter weigh a lot compared to height. so their BMI would be extreme.
meanwhile measuring actual health needs to be done differently.
it is more about how much white body fat % you got.
brown body fat is great to have, white is not.
so, if that is too high then yes you would need to diet to avoid different issues like stroke and the like.
if you try and just look good not caring about the health aspect, well.. then it doesn't matter that much. 165 is quite low 60kgs would be average.00 Reply

+1 yGoing off the scale alone isn't every going to be value added. All weight doesn't present the same. A 60kg MMA fighter and a 60kg person who only exercises by lifting the remote control are not going to look anything alike.

its completely fine since its still in the healthy bmi range (went and calculated yours its 22.0. healthy bmi is from 18.5 to 24.9). but yea its not super skinny or anything either. honestly if you're fine with how you look at that weight than its a good weight for you since its a normal weight, or else you should some lose weight
dont think anyone would think its too much for a girl where you live, most girls in america are way fatter than you anyways, you're one of the skinny ones lol. for me i dont think 60 kgs is too much at all, can be even a really pretty weight if your tall. if you were short that would be too much though

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIm the same height as you, but I weigh 74 kg. When I was 60 kg I was really thin and you could see all my ribs, my neck and chest bones, and I was always tired.
Im currently the fittest I've ever been, I have more of an appetite, and my bloodwork (Iron, Vitamin D, etc.) is the best it has been in a long time. I also have abs and muscles and feel like I can do anything. My mom is the same as I, we are both 'larger built', but fit and healthy. I wouldn't let the scale determine whats good or not.

Let me give you a chart that you can check:

Frankly, it's not difficult to say that you are at the ideal weight even without looking at this chart. Unless you are as short as a hobbit, 60 kg will always be considered an ideal healthy weight.
10 Reply60kg is high for me since I am short and would still be considered overweight. You’re a bit taller and that is completely healthy for you. If you were a lot less before you were probably either underweight or bordering on that. Don’t sweat it. You’ll only be in trouble if you start putting on another 10-15+

+1 yWeight matters relatively, what matters is body composition, you can be 165 cm tall and weigh 60 kg with 85% lean mass and 15% fat mass, just as you can weigh the same and have 70% lean mass and 30% fat mass.

+1 yThis is kind of a silly question cause it's heavy for someone who's 4 foot 10 like me but is light for someone who is 6 foot 2 and it also depends on over variables like muscles and in my case with is my boobs weigh around 20 kilos so I'm 70 kg where as I would be around just under 50 without them

+1 yIt sounds like a pretty normal weight and nothing wrong with it. For how it looks, that just depends on how the person carries it, but I seriously doubt most men would find an issue with it.

+1 yDifficult to say. It all depends on your muscle/fat ratio. 60 kg would be very normal if you have a muscular body and it wouldn't ven look fat.

00 ReplyI'm about that height and weight and people *always* talk about how skinny I apparently am. I think I'm pretty normal and they always think I'm lying when I say my weight. Maybe your perception is warped like mine
10 ReplyDepends on the height. For a 165 cm tall that's still pretty normal.
00 ReplyThat is a good weight for a big girl.
