Is fasting good for overweight woman like me?

Fasting is GREAT! but you have to do it smartly. Listen to your body not cravings.
Also if you're going to fast, make sure you don't break the fast with sugary unhealthy foods. And if you're going to fast it's because you're not going to go back to eating a bunch of junk food. Maybe you don't even do that, but if you do, make sure you don't do it after fasting or it's basically pointless.

people who say that your body stores more fast while fasting are uneducated about fasting.
Our bodies purposely hold onto fat to rescue itself in case of an emergency. So when you fast your body will think it's starving so why would it have stored all that fat in advance only to store MORE FAT? it makes no sense, our bodies are very smart machines they are not stupid.

imagine you store a lot of can food in case of a natural disaster.. then when the natural disaster arrives, you instead try to go to the store to buy more can food instead of eating the can food you stored PRECISELY for this moment. Nobody does that, it's stupid, our body is not stupid.

Also the notion that it will eat up all your muscle first... if it stored fat for emergencies, why would it go after muscle if it took all that time storing fat precisely for emergencies...

of course it can eat muscle and store a bit of fat but it's very very minimal. It goes after the fat it stored for emergencies.

It is common sense.

Having said that, if you are fasting and feel light headed at any moment, listen to your body and know when to consume something.

I always have grapefruit and prickly pears available for when I'm fasting, if I really feel like giving up I eat a little bit of grapefruit like half or 1 prickly pear. and see if I can continue. of course if I don't feel weak or light headed I won't break it even with any of that.

don't do heavy exercises while fasting and if you are new to fasting just do 3 days. make sure you drink a gallon of water throughout the day not in one go, you can get a milk jug and divide it by hours and that's how you know how much to take gradually.

do light walking or some light exercise. stay out of too much sun.

if at any moment you feel faint, sit down and eat water based fruits but only small amount. listen to your body NOT to craving.

Fasting is the healthiest thing you can do IF you do it smartly.

if you can do 3 days.. then next month you can gradually expand it.

when you finally break the fast, you can break it with chicken broth, chicken feet broth. It helps replenish anything lost while not adding so much sugar and stick to healthy diets after that or really you will just look the same by the end of the next week.

also all the people saying you should talk to a doctor before you start fasting. Those same people NEVER go ask a doctor when they start drinking or smoking AND THAT is deadly. Ridiculous. any adult that's done growing up can and should learn to fast.

if people are not going to the doctor to start doing stupid things like drinking and smoking which ARE detrimental to your health, why in the world would they advice you to go to a doctor when starting something that IMPROVES your health. commonsense is not so common, ignorance is however.

So 10 stone 11 pounds. I done the BMI calculator it said it's 26.7. Says your ideal weight for you size would be 7stone 7Ibs to 10st 1Ib. So you're only over by 10Ibs that's not bad.

I'd definitely just lose it by eating low calorie foods and drinks. But if you really want to fast then it's best to get checked over by you doctor first. They will be able to better guide you than people off the internet.

Basic biology. When you fast your body actually starts storing extra fat because it thinks you are entering into a starvation period.

If you want to loose weight cut out unnecessary sugar, unnecessary carbs, walk more.

You need to exercise and burn more calories than you consume daily if you wish to lose weight.
