Girls who are overweight - what's the reason for that?

I've been overweight since I can remember. I guess my mom overfed me as a kid and that turned into me overfeeding myself as an adult. I've tried hard to lose weight. Came close to being a normal weight at one point but ballooned back up. And now I'm trying again to lose the weight.

That happened to a cousin of mine. He was a very active skinny kid and apparently didn't eat as much as his parents and grandparents thought he should. They would literally cheer him on to eat three hot dogs, instead of his normal one hot dog, when we would eat lunch. He was probably, 7, 8 years old at the time. My brothers and I were actually disgusted. It continued through out his childhood. Then he started getting fat by 13 and suddenly they started cutting back on what they fed him. Which just made him binge eat at night when they were asleep. Now he's 30 years old and morbidly obese and doesn't even try to lose weight.

Damn. Smh. Well at least they tried eventually. My mom never tried to get me to lose weight when I was a kid.
