I'd imagine the oral stuff has to kill them first huh? Dog will be fine in the morning until I take him for a walk and he'll have a shit ton of fleas on him after that

I’m not sure about dogs but my cat has never had issues with flea treatment. I pour it on the back of her neck every 6 weeks and she never has fleas even though she’s outside everyday. My dad has a small dog and he just uses one of those flea collars rather than pills or anything, and his dog never has fleas.
I don't know I've never had a dog that picks up fleas like this one.
I'm not even sure my parents ever did flea medicine, pretty sure my mom just gave then heart worm meds every month
I live more out in the country so it's a bit different out here
It could be the type of dog you have too? Like the type of fur etc, could make the dog more susceptible to getting fleas? Plus you being in the country makes it 10 times worse.
I highly recommend Nexgard for flea & tick for dogs, the vet recommended this for my Maltese.
