Why do I have a sore throat?

I have a sore throat that started to appear suddenly this morning, what could be the cause of that and any remedies for that?

Sometimes a sore throat is the first symptom of a bad infection, such as Lemierr's disease (Google it). The sad part is doctors are ignorant about connecting a sore throat with this.

I'm not trying to scare you, but I have seen this before.

I had a sore throat once and whatever it was, made me so suck and miss work for three weeks.
I woke up with a bad sore throat one morning that by the end of the day, every time I sat up, I would throw up, so I had to stay laying down.
I went to the Emergency Room and they referred me to a neurologist, thank God. We never found out what it was, neither did the doctor, but he gave me some Klonopin tablets and in two days I was back at work.
In fact, he called me at work to see how I was doing. It made him feel good that he cured me.😊

Yo man that's no bueno. Sore throats suck. A few possibilities that usually cause mine:

- Post-nasal drip - Could be allergies or a cold. All that crap drips down your throat and irritates it.

- Strep throat - Your lymph nodes in your neck might be swollen too. Gotta see the doc to check for strep.

- Dehydration - Not drinking enough water, swallowing a lot of dust/pollen, etc. Your throat gets mad dry.

- Cigarettes/vaping - Especially first thing, that harsh smoke/vapor gets to your throat.

For remedies - Try throat lozenges, they feel so good and coat everything. Hot tea with honey is soothing too. Soup keeps you hydrated.

If it doesn't improve in a couple days, see the doc. They can check you out and maybe prescribe antibiotics if it's strep.

In the meantime, rest your voice and try not to talk a ton. You don't wanna damage the throat more. Feel better dude! Lmk if the soreness lasts.
