You definitely need to drink ENOUGH water and if you don't, you won't flush unnecessary bacteria, viruses etc. out of your system and keep it in balance. We're 70% water.
However, there are illnesses that can't be kept at bay by simply using or drinking water. Sometimes you need an antiviral, other times an antibacterial or antifungal. Water will not dissipate illnesses caused by bacteria, viruses or fungi.
Water is also not a preventative or substitute for vaccines that prevent childhood illnesses, Covid or the flu. Water can't cure syphilis, gonorrhea or cancer.
Proper amounts of water, and soap, keep your skin clear, flush out blackheads, remove excess oil from your body and hair. Water keeps your blood balanced and your body functioning properly.
But OUTSIDE illnesses need help from more than water.
I've always heard laughter is the best medicine.
I think it depends on how your body is, that is how you should measure how much water to drink. There's no way I could drink the recommended 8 glasses a day of water. I literally could not fill my gut with that much water. Now maybe some big football player could, but not me.
Obviously not. But drink enough mineral water instead of these awful sugar drinks and the chances increase that you will need hardly any medicine.
How is it obviously not? It can help with pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia. The list goes on.

Why would you drink something so nutrient void? It's for peasants, for emergencies. There were a couple years when I didn't touch a drop of filtered water. Why not get some fresh fucking orange juice or raw fucking pasture milk?
I prefer cooking bones in water. Then its known as "broth".
Yes drinking more water does do wonders , most people don't meet their daily requirement in my opinion
Yeah, but I'm not going for that bottled water scam -- straight out of the tap is the only way I'll drink it.
this is better.

The best medicine for what? You can die from drinking too much water.
Rarely. You can die from aspirin, but it’s still medicine.
Yes, and if you are hungry, foo will cure your condition, so food is medicine?
In many ways, yes one could argue food is medicine. It gives us essential nutrients we need to survive. What foods we consume can even help us fight off disease.
Your body needs hydration, nothing hydrates you like water.
Not if the water is polluted!
