My doctor is willing to take me to Chinese Doctor, and pay more.

The hospital money will be covered by insurance but I’ll need a steel in my leg.

I take my words back about being happy being single, I put the cast on my leg, it hurts like a hell. I am very angry at myself for having to being alone at home.

Everybody asked me If I have someone at home, or a boyfriend, it’s going to be pretty tough alone. I hope I’ll handle. When I recover I will get into a relationship 🤣

Uh... yeah that's going to be needing at least a pin in it. Nobody uses steel anymore though. It'll be titanium... less rejection. On the plus side, you'll be one step closer to cyborg now.

The Chinese guy may have reset it (where's the "after" xray? surely they did an After, too, yes?) but if you want it to stay there it'll need to be pinned. Even the little amount that you can move inside that cast can throw a break back out of alignment, and I've had my share of casts on over the years so I know how restrictive they are. It's like when you graft a tree limb. You can have it on there and it'll grow, but it still needs support after it is able to support its weight for a much longer period of time, because it's still not strong enough for any vigorous activity

They just put a cast on it. I think to tell my boss to take me to take another X ray in 2 days and maybe check it if the surgery is still needed.

The part where they fixed the bone to one another was hella painful though, I could definitely not smile during it. I couldn’t help but shout loudly 🤣

Crutches, yeah. I once popped a recently set bone in my hand just from the small muscles there contracting as I lifted something with that hand. It was in a cast, but I had the weight balanced on the cast so I wasn't even gripping it. Had to get it cut off, rebreak the knuckle, reset it with a pin and put a new cast on. You think it hurts the first time? You at least have surprise and adrenaline to help you there. Doctor rebreaks it in his office that hurts like a MF.

Without the pin in there it can slide inside the cast as your thigh flexes while you sleep and misalign. The pin will keep it in place while the bone re-mends together.

Nah it won't be that big. Inch maybe. Nicer surgery centers do it through microsurgery and it'll be about 1/4 inch where the actual titanium went in.

Was that your ankle that broke? Nah, just slap a band aid on it and some elastic brace and you're good to go. Looks to me that a cast is definitely needed. Whatever they do you will be off your feet for 2 months. I broke my ankle once and had to wear some bulky boot for 6 weeks. When the doctor found out I was walking on it he got mad and said if I kept walking on it that my ankle could fall apart. It was definitely a challenge because I couldn't drive my car with that dumb boot on. I had to take if off when getting into my car and putting it back on when getting out of it. But at least I got to ride the electric cart around when at Walmart. Believe me it was a pain in the butt more than a pain in my leg.

You need to see an orthopedic surgeon and a qualified one. I don't mean to demean Chinese medicine, but there are some things it can't solve. You need somebody that's actually doing real surgery on bones and that would be the orthopedic surgeon. Please do not listen to your boss who has their own interests at heart and not yours. Based on what you posted, that looks like a fairly significant injury.

I’m sorry to hear that you have to get a second opinion I’ve experienced that before at the hospital when I broke my ankle and at the last second before, going to bed at the end of the night, a doctor came in and says I don’t need surgery He told the nurse because I wasn’t even there I was at the cafeteria.

I don’t believe in painkillers I’ve heard a lot of bad story so I had to really suck it up I guess I took ibuprofen for a while and aspirin.

That is a nasty looking break. You should have it evaluated by an orthopedic specialist to determine if the break will heal properly when aligned properly of if pins are necessary. You get one shot to get it right and if it heals off, you could have problems for the rest of your life. Best to look after yourself and not let others decide what you should do.

Your boss isn’t a doctor. Surgeries suck. But a permanently broken leg is even worse.

Seeking a second opinion as quickly as possible is fine. It needs to be properly set as soon as possible so it can start healing in place properly.

I can’t speak to who a better doctor is based on country. When in doubt, it’s probably best to listen to your primary care physician if you trust them.

I’ve broken a finger before and they had to rebreak it a few days later to set the bone, it hurt. Afterwards, it was put in a cast for a couple of months and it healed fine with no issues.

I had a relative who shattered her wrists and had to have rods used to reconstruct her bones. She seems to be doing fine. She’s also retired and still active. She was in law too as a lawyer!

That's not a hairline fracture, there's space between the bone, the gap between the 2 pieces must me closed or it will take a lot longer to heal
