Denmark's Saxo Bank predicts that because of the GLP-1 obesity drugs that people will stop exercising. Will you stop exercising and take a pill instead?

I get exercise in some form every day. That said, I'd rather be obese than take a fat pill to lose weight. If I'm a little over weight now and then it doesn't bother me at all. If I want to put in the work and cut weight that also doesn't bother me at all. Setting goals and crushing them is satisfying.

I find it hard to believe that a drug will produce the endorphin rush and the benefits of exercise. Being outside in nature as an extra bonus. Does this wonder medicine, improve lung and heart function? The world is lazy enough and introverted as it is, we don't need this.

It just causes weight loss. It is a diabetes drug so I suspect it messes with your pancreas.

I doubt it. Some people love exercising for several reasons and I don't think they will stop because of a drug. Besides, exercise has a lot of mental benefits, I can't imagine a drug doing the same.

And no, I wouldn't stop and take a pill.

I had a knitted hat that had a face mask. I used to wear that when I ran in the winter. It made it harder to breathe but heated the air a few degrees before it got into my lungs

for me the problem is slippery. Somehow breaking my leg doesn't seem alluring :P

And my lungs hurt because dancing is more demanding than running...

No, I don't exercise. I never have been much of an exciser person. I just found out that this illness is genetic which would explain why I would wince when it was time to exercise.

What's that? Is that a pill to stop obesity? ? ! Really? ? Damn lol. I don't know. People CAN be lazy but still... you exercise to become active and have better circulation. Things I heard that are important for longevity. But I don't know. I think it's False. There are hoards of people that LOVE going to the gym or are gym rats. Just because someone stops exercising doesn't mean it's healthy. Or if they stop becoming active in their lives that it will be a good thing.

Maybe a few people. I think the market is people who want to lose weight and already don't exercise. However, I do think we may see a large decline in gym memberships.

I’m a very busy man, even at play I exercise unintentionally. So when I exercise for real I enjoy it. No, I’ll not stop doing what brings me pleasure.

I don't think so. At least not completely. Exercise has other benefits besides weight loss that are well known.

These drugs are mainly used to control diabetes which they do very well. The weight loss is almost a side effect. In most cases. They're going to be continued to be used for diabetes control because they work so well. Also, for those that think these are pills, be aware that these are actually weekly subcutaneous injections that you can hardly feel if at all. I know because I use them.
