Do you think the body needs extra vitamin B when it's fighting an illness?

When I was sick for 2 weeks, I would eat 20 to 30 times the recommended dosage of vitamin B either by multiplying a normal portion of honey 12 times or more or by consuming multiple vitamin B capsules containing all 8 forms. And my urine was clear meaning my body was not overly saturated with vitamin B which turns your urine yellow when you have too much of it. But now that I've recovered my urine is very dark yellow again which always happens when I take vitamin B. I did not suffer at all during my illness but when I consider how many remedies I had to use to get over my sickness, it's scary to think how badly I would have been ill if I did not know about these methods taught by online doctors and friends. As an example, there were times where I would eat apple and cheese 8 times a day or more during my illness cause they say you should eat apples when you are ill.
