That depends on how many calories you are burning. The vast majority of caloric intake is burned digesting the food you just ate. You can eat 2k calories a day in donuts if you wanted provided you are doing things to burn off what forms that 2k calories. The calories are going to burn off just to digest (about 85-90%) so you would need to burn off the carbs, the fat, the proteins, sugars etc. Most people mistakenly assume that reducing calories will reduce weight. It will not. You need to consume different calories. For example if a burger gives 450 calories and a salad also gives 450. You burn off about 360-405 just to digest it. What you have left is the heavy metals, fibers, carbs, the minerals, vitamins, etc secondly you have the fact that things digest at different speeds. For example meat takes longer to digest so you use more energy to process it. Where as a salad digests very quickly and uses less energy to process it.

First and foremost 500 calories is too low and can be dangerous... can lead to malnutrition, vitamin poisoning and other health problems
And speaking in terms of weight loss alone... it will depend on how much calories you burn too
Say your maintenance level of calories (Approx. body weight x 15) is 2000 calories... then eating a 500 calorie diet means you are on a calorie deficit of 1500 calories
Now one pound of fat is around 3500 calories
So since you are burning 1500 calories a day.. in one month it's 1500 x 30 = 45000 calories a month!
That equates to 45000/3500 = 12 pounds of fat in one month
That would backfire really badly. Depending on your height and weight, I would recommend closer to 1,400 a day of healthy foods only. Like a giant bowl of fresh fruits and veggies will cost your body more calories to burn and make you lose more weight and keep you fuller.
Whole grain breads do the same, but eat them sparingly since they are higher calorie. Lots of veggie soups with mostly water base, because the water fills you. Then, you exercise to burn off every extra calorie you want to lose. I can lose about 15 lbs in a month in a very healthy way doing this.
Exercise is important, because muscle burns more calories when you are just sitting around than anything else. So, if you build muscle with those workouts you will be doubling up on the extra calorie burning. The workout should be about 30-60 minutes of cardio with your heart rate raised. You should be breathing too heavily to hold a conversation.
You would lose a lot of muscle mass and not so much fat. Unfortunately, if you don't eat enough protein to keep your muscles, your body will burn them first.
You will also make your skin grey, your nails start to break and you will experience hair loss.

That's slowly starving to death, don't be a retard. Lose weight the right way, by getting to off your ass and exercising. You can't exercise and only eat 500 calories a day. Your body will go haywire and crash. Till have organ failure. Just eat lean meat and vegetables,1500 calories a day. Exercise everyday. You will lose weight fast enough. You can maintain that diet for a long time with no bad health side effects. Even if you over eat lean meat and vegetables, it still doesn't stack fat like carbs and sugar does.
You would only lose lean mass, your basal metabolic rate would fall below minimum levels, you would be in a state of malnutrition, you don't mess with the body because after a while it will bring you the bill, which will be very steep.
I think you should rely on a serious nutrition professional who can help you lose weight with the right diet plan and exercise.
That’s seriously unhealthy. I’m 4”11 and I’m eating in a calorie deficit to try and lose weight but I’m still eating around 1200 cal a day + protein. If you want to lose weight you need to do it sustainably, you’ll eventually crash and binge if you don’t
Depends how much of your weight is blubber, water... muscle, bone. Weight is the wrong goal... muscle weighs more than fat. You could get into shape and actually weigh more than you did before. Or the same. What matters is body fat percentage. Exercise a lot. Eat healthy foods. There's special scales you can get that measure body fat percentage & a bunch of other stats. They talk to a phone app.
Depends. You could lose a lot of weight but it will slow down the thinner you get. You’ll still lose weight, your just gonna be miserable and have a higher chance of going into a binge cycle because your bodies starving.
Also I’ve done something like this (when I didn’t need to). It’s not sustainable I had liver failure because of restricting calories. You can lose weight from just eating 1200-1400 calories without even working out.Potentially all of it; that's half a Calorie per day, and you might die. If you meant 500 Calories, you'd be better off, but not by as much as you'd think. Run a deficit that big, and your body will quickly go into starvation mode, slowing down vital processes; you won't burn nearly as many Calories if you ate reasonably and upped your exercise.
If you want to lose weight, talk to your doctor.
That's less than necessary to maintain organ health, plus your muscle would atrophy and you'd look like a melted wax figurine. I can lose more in a week and actually eat than you'd lose in the month doing that because all you'd have the energy to do would b sit on the couch, if that, because you'd have long ago put your body in starvation mode.
Gotta be active, high percentage of your calories from protein, and 1200-1400 a day is your absolute minimum.
I read somewhere that the average person needs 1000 calories to maintain your base metabolism. If that is accurate, you are getting only half of that, so to guess your weight loss after a month is based on many factors, i. e. your activity each day and how many calories you burn.
What you'll lose is a lot health...
You'll be weak, nauseated, have brain fog, headaches, fatigue,
That's a very dangerous diet to go on. Losing weight shouldn't be fast, after all, you put it on over many years, you can't expect to safely undo that in a mater of weeks.
You will gain back double the amount eventually if you keep this up or you will develop anorexia and you won't be able to stop. Please stop doing this destructive thing before it is too late.
Don't calorie restrict. You'll mess up your hormones and gain weight
Not sure how much weight, but you'll likely lose your fun, your health, and maybe even your life.
It is not advised to lose weight that way. It is too fast and it puts your body into starvation mode.
Yeah nah. Who cares about your weight if you're dead right?
I Lost 10 Pounds with Exercise and Doing That. xxoo
None. Your body will go into starvation mode to protect itself.
such a low-calorie diet could be unhealthy and isn't recommended without proper supervision. Rapid weight loss may not be sustainable and could lead to various health issues
how did this work out for you? if you do this, you will absolutely gain it all back once you start eating the normal amount of calories again.
you will get sick and develop serious health issues.
That is not a good plan at all.- u
if you keep eating 500 cal a day you’re gonna pass out and fall on your face and get really lightheaded believe me you’ll find out
