What is antisocial personality disorder?

I was diagnosed when I was a young adult with antisocial personality disorder but I like socializing. I don’t like being alone and I’ve dated and had sex with women since I was 13.

Not what that is. It doesn't mean you don't like being social. That's A-social.

Antisocial personality disorder is a personality disorder characterized by a limited capacity for empathy and a long-term pattern of disregard or violation of the rights of others. Other notable symptoms include impulsivity and reckless behavior (including substance abuse), a lack of remorse after hurting others, deceitfulness, irresponsibility, and aggressive behavior.

Basically what would be called sociopathy or psychopathy.

I’m not a sociopath or violent lol.

You don't always have to be violent.

You can have very low empathy and not be violent

What makes me antisocial? Why I am diagnosed with the disorder?

No clue. You have empathy for others? Do you feel bad for other people? Does it bother you if you've wronged someone?

No regards for human rights, guilt, or empathy, I was diagnosed at 14 with conduct disorder and rediagnosed with “antisocial personality disorder” at age 18. I’ve never been involved in criminal activity and I like socializing. In general the answer is no like I’ll laugh at war crimes, 9/11, you name it.

I really like people. I have a lot friends and I’ve had more girlfriends than normal guys I even lost my virginity at 13.

So you have no regard for other's feelings, no guilt at all or empathy? You'll also laugh at other's misfortunes?

Yep that'll do it. That's why you were diagnosed.

Most people on earth have empathy. You lack it therefore you have a disorder.

But I’m not antisocial that’s a horrible word to describe my disability or disorder whatever you call it.

You are if you don't have regard for the rest of society. That's the social part. Not socializing but disregarding the feelings of the rest of society. You're not fitting the social norms of the world. That's the social part of it.

Not wanting to socialize and being an introvert isn't antisocial personality disorder it's being A-social, like A-typical

I’m really good at hiding that and manipulating people to think otherwise though.

Most people with antisocial personality disorder are manipulative. They blend in all the time.

Most are very good in social situations.

Ted Bundy was a psychopath and had girlfriends and was popular.

Donald Trump is a sociopath.
They say a lot of CEOs could be sociopaths.
