What Personality Disorder do you have?

Despite everyone loving me, I do have issues. Inspite of my good looks and Adonis physique, I lack self confidence. Weird.

Anyway, armchair diagnosing isn’t the best. And I hate, hate hate labels. But like actual scientists, sometimes there’s a need to compartmentalize and compare.

Whats interesting about personality disorders is everyone’s got one. And the usually reason is opposite than what is described. Like a bully is a narcissist because no one loves him so he acts out on others. Also he’s probably beaten at home.

Sp it your feelings or acts may be opposite than what is described below, because that’s how you handle these personality disorders.

The two that always made me curious are ADHD and BPD. I took some online ADHD tests and passed with flying colors on focus (as in the opposite of what a person with ADHD should score), but I wonder if those tests are reliable.

My mind tends to race with distracting thoughts whenever I'm idle. I can focus when something is happening that I need to focus on and actually was the teacher's pet in school, but whenever I'm idle, I get lost in a flurry of thoughts.

One of the ultimate things where I seem to be really screwy is thrill-seeking.

For example, I look back at it and think something must have been really wrong with me but when I stayed in Los Angeles in my 20s, I asked the receptionist at the hotel at 2 AM to tell me where the most dangerous part of LA is. Then he said South Compton so I asked him to book me a taxi there.

So then I wandered the streets of South Compton hoping for something exciting and dangerous to happen to me. Nothing happened to me except a nice guy sitting on a park bench asked me what I'm doing wandering around the neighborhood and suggested I go back home.

I've always been addicted to danger in this way to extremely unhealthy levels. Like sane people make risk vs. reward assessments. For me, the risk is the reward.

Also binge drinking and impulsivity used to be major problems. I just recently quit drinking alcohol last year but that was a major thing I struggled with in the past. Also gambling. I once lost $11,000 at a casino. I stopped gambling after that except for Poker (I'm actually a winning Poker player and have only profited from it but I'm a bankroll nit and only play low-stakes).

So I figure I have some sort of personality disorder, probably in the cluster B category.

I would argue OCD and maybe even autism are a spectrum we’re all on. Just most are .001%

I'm definitely a little bit avoidant, but I also think ADHD is probably mild cluster B... Kind of an antisocial pathology.

Me too, def avoidant. Had to look that up versus asocial or the other loner disorders. And funnily enough, everyone’s always surprised at how extroverted I am.

I’m just exhausted when I get home. Lol

Everyone does NOT have a personality disorder. The conditions you referenced are very serious and mostly untreatable. Luckily they are not all that common.
