so chromosomes are a full set of everything that physically makes up a person. every organ chooses the relevant parts of the full manuscript to express as it relates to that organ. yes, someone with 22, XX chromosome set can donate a kidney to someone with a 22, XY set because the kidney genes aren’t even on the sex chromosome. the kidney would translate the genes that make a kidney a kidney and simply ignore the rest of the genome
