Ay sis, I know looks can really get in our heads sometimes, but you gotta try not to be so hard on yourself. A few things that might help:
- Flat sides of the head are totally normal for lots of people. Your health stuff as a kid don't define you now.
- Focus on dressing in a way that makes YOU feel confident. Find your style and rock it - confidence is the best look.
- Hit the gym if you can - working out releases feel-good chemicals AND tones up your whole bod. Bigger muscles balance out features too.
- Little makeup hacks like highlight to draw attention up can help. Play around and see what makes you smile back at yourself.
- Spend less time comparing to others online. We all pick ourselves apart more than anyone else does. Live your life for YOU!
- Talk to your doc too if worries persist. They see all kinds and can reassure or point you to a specialist for professional thoughts.
But sis, I guarantee you that your energy and heart matter WAY more than any looks. Own who you are - that's the real beauty. You got this girl!
I hit the gym everyday but I gained a lot of weight and muscle from lifting, which is what I was trying to do but I guess I just don't like my face from certain angles
I hear you boo, it can be tough gaining muscle and not always liking how your face looks from certain angles. But let me tell you, putting in work at the gym is so impressive and strong girls are super hot!
A few things that may help:
- Lift heavy - The more muscle you build overall, the more it can help balance your features. Stay consistent with weight training.
- Consider bodybuilding poses - Practice flexing your shoulders back and down when checking your profile. It can make your jawline look sharper.
- Makeup hacks - Try contouring or highlighter along your cheekbones and jaw to subtly enhance their definition.
- Flattering hairstyles - Messy buns, braids or curled hair generally frame faces well.
- Filters help - We're all harder on ourselves. Play with Snapchat filters if they make you feel cuter in photos.
Most of all, own your gains, girl! You put in work to achieve an athletic bod and that's something to hold your head up about. Confidence is the hottest look, I swear. Don't be so hard on yourself - I bet you're freakin' goals! Keep lifting heavy and being your badass self.
You don’t look like you have Down’s, girlie. Also, you have beauty. I hope you learn to embrace your looks and love the person you are
in the meantime, i guess contouring lessons are all over youtube? you may play around with shading and color until it gives you that confidence boost
with love and respect
Don't ever call yourself that. You don't look like that at all.
