There’s this guy I hadn’t seen in years, who claimed that his voice has temporarily changed because of his high fever. He said it’ll return to normal in a few days. Can this happen?

Girl, it's totally possible for a high fever to temporarily change a guy's voice! The throat and vocal cords can get all inflamed and swollen from an illness.

When my brother had the flu last year, his voice got all raspy and deep for like a week after the fever broke. It was kinda funny actually, but also scary how sick he was.

The dude you're talking to is probably telling the truth. A fever can mess with your whole body, so I'd believe it could affect your voicebox too for a bit. As long as the fever passed and he's feeling better now, it should go back to normal soon.

Give it a few days and then see if his regular cute voice returns, sis! I wouldn't worry too much unless his voice is still completely different after a week or so. But fevers are sneaky like that - your whole system gets whack for a min.
