How you breastfeed with a inverted nipple?

Please dont ban this account, I am only on here to ask for advice and give opioions.

When I was 18 I stupidly agreed to get my nipples pierced cos at the time I didn't plan on getting pregnant and during my pregnancy I was a late developer, I started showing 2 months larer then normal, my breasts didn't start getting till I was 4 months into, then one day I bent down and my nipples rejected the piercing.

I have regluar breast exams due to family having the cancer gene, the doctor told me my dominate feeding nipple is starting to be inverted then I was feeding her Monday and she loses her latch. I've tried shields, making it erect and nothing seems to work. Please help.

Once your nipple is inverted for whatever reason, you cannot just undo by trying to press on the breast in an attempt to "pop it out" like you would do with a rubber or something similar. Your nipple has been damaged beyond the ability to be repaired naturally.

You only have 2 choices here, whereas I would not recommend the first one. This would be to have it surgically moved out but that would mean that you cannot breastfeed during the healing process.

The only other option you have to feed your baby is to rely on those commercially prepared infant formulas. I am sorry for you.
