Can birth control pills stop periods?

I had been taking my birth control pills for 2 weeks and did not have my period yet. The only thing I had experienced was the contraction like cramps that I would normally get before it comes on.

Yes... and... assuming you get clearance from your doctor, you can use them to have periods every few months, rather than every month.

I started doing that when I played soccer in college at the advice of the team doctor and have been doing it since then. The doc recommended 3 months a time... that's only 4 periods a year !!! Yeah !!!

Hasn't really affected my fertility either. I had two kids... both planned !!!

Yes, if you ask your doctor they’ll give you more pills so you don’t have to have a menstruation period. It’s not a medical necessity, they only included the placebos to appease the catholics who think birth control goes against the will of god lol

Yes, there are different kind of pills. Some can skip your period. In my experience those that do so often have a placebo pill you can take to still have it if you want to.

There are cases though, that can worsen PMS. Maybe take a look at the side effect table. It should also take note of the cases you should see as a doctor. (Which I don't think that is the case here) but I am not a doctor, so be safe.

Depends on the person. But generally yes. It happened to me
