I have been very afraid of dentists since childhood. I hope I'm not alone 🙈

You're not alone. I was when I was your age. I had some bad dental experiences when I was young that kept me out of a dentist's chair till I was in my mid twenties. I'm not now, not even a little bit. So don't worry, you can still grow out of it with positive future experiences.

I’m not overly fond of them, especially with those latex / rubber gloves in your mouth, yuk. Some are okay, however some just don’t seem to care about any pain, they just want you in and out quickly.

I’m not, but contact your doctor to get some anti anxiety medication. A lot of people do that and it calms them during the dentist visit. 😊

My mom is an dentist assistant, so it kind of helped me I think.

However, I do find it uncomfortable.

Some say we have nothing to fear but fear itself & others say we have nothing to fear but fear itself & spiders too. As for me I’m not afraid of spiders & I’m not afraid of dentists either. In fact I go to the dentist every four months for cleanings & checkups & if truth be told I rather visit a dentist versus having problems down the road or having fucked up teeth down the road as well. Dentophobia is a fear of the dentist.
