I’m not terrified of the dentist or anything but I do tense up when they bring out those damn scraper tools and shit, I’m not gonna lie lol.

i went to the dentist today and I will admit this is the first time I’ve been to a dentist in a good 5/6 years.. cause I just don’t take care of myself 😀

anyways I have to get 5 teeth removed! 4 wisdom teeth and one tooth that has a cavity that’s just so far gone that it’s gotta go. How fun!

So I ended up getting two teeth removed so far. I was awake for it and it was NOT a pleasant experience. They numbed me so I didn’t feel pain but I still watched this man lean over me, push in my teeth, wiggling them and pulling them out, hearing them crack. Even tho I didn’t feel the pain, I still felt that anticipation and fear of watching this dude rip my teeth out.
I highly recommend going to sleep for it lol
I got to keep the teeth though! Imma turn them into earrings lmaooo

HAD MY LOWERS OUT ONE AT A TIME AND IT WAS NOT BAD - NO SWELLING, AND NO REAL PAIN... TOO ADVIL OFF AND ON FOR A WEEK OR SO - LIKE A MILD HEADACHE

I'M GIVING YOU SHIT FOR THE TOOTH THAT WAS SO BADLY DECAYED THAT YOU ARE LOSING IT! IF YOU HAVE THE $$$$$$$$, GET THE ORAL SURGEON TO REPLACE IT AFTER EXTRACTING, WITH AN IMPLANT, PRICEY BUT WORTH IT. HE CAN REMOVE THE DECAYED TOOTH ROOT AND ALL AND IMMEDIATELY REPLACE IT WITH THE IMPLANT. WHEN THE IMPLANT HAS BEEN SECURED WITH NEW BONE GROWTH, IT IS ALMOST AS SOLID OR EVEN MORE SO THAN NATURAL TOOTH STRUCTURE!

MY OTHER WORRY FOR YOU, IS BONE LOSS, AND GUM PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH YOU TERRIBLE HISTORY THAT YOU DETAILED... YOU GOTTA GET IN AND HAVE YOU TEETH CLEANED EVERY 6 MONTHS BY A GOOD HYGIENIST AND FIND A GOOD GENERAL DENTIST TO CHECK YOU ANNUALLY.

Trust me, I know I fucked up lol. It’s just been hard because I never had insurance for the longest time and didn’t have the money to pay out of pocket. So I just avoided the dentist for the longest time because I couldn’t afford it and also didn’t care. But this has inpsired me to take better care of my teeth and start going to get check ups more often.
Luckily the tooth they’re gonna pull is the one all the way in the back so it’s not even visible. I don’t think I’ll bother getting an implant.
All my visible teeth in the front are healthy. My dentist made a joke saying I “protect the money makers” lol

I am not scared, but I do dread it. I've had several bad experiences with dental work before, and I worry something similar will happen again. I also hate when they try to have small talk. I don't want to talk with the tastes of cleaner and metal in my mouth.

Nah, I love my dentist, she’s an awesome lady. Always makes the experience nice. However I do hate those gum injections you have to get before getting fillings or teeth removed, hate the feeling of needles in my gums.

Not really, it's just a pain having to go and can be uncomfortable. I try to go every 6 months and it's nice that my dentist has really flexible hours.

No not at all. I go regularly for check ups and cleaning every sixth months and never have I felt scared.
