A friend of mine stopped going to the Dentist after realizing what an absolute scam it was. But due to an old filling (they drilled too big before filling) coming out, they needed to go. After the Xrays the Dentist was utterly shocked because there was no existing or beginning decay, barely any plaque or tarter and they kept on asking why their teeth were so strong. They wanted to know why the teeth of someone that hadn't visited the Dentist for over 12 years was stronger than those who went every few months. The Dentist wanted to know what they had been doing for those 12+ years.
Fact is, there is a conflict of interest if your poor and failing teeth bring them more money...
I get more anxiety about the cost of the treatment than the treatments themselves because while my company insurance plan covers most of what I need for regular doctor visits on my PPO plan, they don’t match as much coverage for dental care, so I pay out of pocket for it.
Although, I have had far less tooth decay since I went on the Carnivore Diet, replacing most of my sugar with honey, and maple. But coconut sugar, sugar in the raw and/or the least refined sugar is better than refined sugar for preventing tooth decay if you can always afford the honey or maple syrup.
I had to survive them breaking my wisdom teeth into 17 pieces to get them out. The tops were facing front. Can't do pain killers. Evidently couldn't do the sleep gas either. Was throwing up neon green for hours after waking from it. Miserable few days with the pain. I might have some ongoing residual baggage.
I can relate 😣
Mine were impacted and buried also.
No anesthesia side effects with mine though. Just mild ptsd
Hug it out 🤗
Sweaty and trembly hugs 🤗 lol
The sound of that drill always gives me the spinal shivers
There's the awkward I expected. 😂
You know me 😏
That doesn't bother me. I haven't associated it. Probably because I work with tools a lot.
Yup 😁
We use similar grinders at work too 😣 ugh
My mum could never stand fireworks either, as she was there during WII.
World war II
I can stand all gunfire and fireworks. But huge explosions floor me. Especially unexpected ones.
A pneumatic machine blew up at work last year and I was mentally ruined for the rest of the day
I can completely understand your mum
It is a whole other level of reality.
Instant time travel to the past. Terror
🤗🤗
Hugs 🤗
I'm anxious AF... but I go there anyway... I like my smile, and I want to keep it that way :D

As for me I go to the dentist every four months for checkups & cleanings & knock on wood my teeth are in good condition & not fucked up like a lot of people.
Yeah, but scared don't quiet cover it. My first dentist told me several times I was hard to work on because my mouth is small or rather couldn't open tall enough. I've since told friends and one stuck a Dr. Pepper can in his mouth. It came so close to being stuck, you know the rim edge, his fear showed in his eyes.
But it's shear hell.
I go twice a year... and for the most part, most of it is just fine
I still don't like it, lmao
No. Contact your doctor to get some anti anxiety meds. That way, you’ll be calm during the dentist visit. 😊
I’ve done this before and it helped immensely
Dentistry is a lie about age and about natural processes.
When I still believed such lies - I had no emotional problem to see such a charlatan.
The only feeling I have nowadays is: contempt.
No, it is not my favorite thing to do but I do not stress about it. My teeth are in good shape and I usually just need a cleaning
My dad always told me that the teeth you come with are better than the ones they give you.
Whatever you do don't watch the movie "The Dentist." 😯
Wait I think those pictures might be from the movie!
Use to when I was a younger like was scared to get a shot now days it’s like okay let’s get this over
No. My my mom is a dentist so since childhood I was getting my teeth cleansed.
No. I like going to the dentist 😅
What 😮 🤯
Everyone has their quirks, right? 🤣
I was terrified of the dentist when I was younger, but now I'm chilling in the dentist chair. 😆
They always want to drill and grind on me
No. I keeps me teeth and mouth on point
That’s all good until they break out the drill and grinder
No, I like it. She’s cute.
That’s always a boner, I mean bonus 🥰
I had a cute girl working on me today. It did greatly help as a distraction. But no drilling or grinding so even better
Some dentist know what they are doing I think; and hire pretty girls only for assistants.
And they had a dog, which was weird but comforting.
Yeah, I’ve had boners for hygienists over the years, but in my case now, the clinic I go to has two fuckable dentists that are at least as attractive as their assistants. The lady boss vibe makes them hotter.
Yes lol the actual dentist was and usually is a man.
I like going to the dentist.
