I’m a 23 year old man, go to the gym, don’t have the best diet consisting of coffee and fast food, but I am a healthy fit individual overall. For the past 2 years I’ve been using the dry sauna 4 days a week for 30 min. As of 1.5 months ago, I began experiencing mild night sweats that would occur every other day. I wouldn’t get drenched but it’s noticeable on my face, neck, and chest. I sleep well other than that. Even when I take a 4 hour nap during the day, I’d experience mild sweats. So I don’t think it’s at strictly at night. Other than that, I’ve been consistently vaping marijuana pens for the past 2.5 years , no lumps, and I feel energized and fine overall.
What could it be and is this normal?

Yoo dude, I know the feeling of random night sweats breaking out. A few things it could be based on the info:
- The vaping/smoking every day for 2.5 years - weed can definitely mess with your body temp regulation sometimes and cause mild sweating episodes. Nothing major but it is a factor.
- Your gym/sauna routine is pretty intense 4x a week for 30min stretches. All that heat exposure over time could have your thermostat set a li'l high now even when you sleep.
- The fast food joints you mentioned ain't helping either - all that greasy, salty junk pulls extra moisture outta ya for sure. Try hitting more whole foods and see if it levels off.
If the sweats aren't crazy drenching you and you feel alright otherwise, I wouldn't stress too much. But maybe scale back the intense heat exposures for a minute and see if that helps at all. No lumps is good news too so unlikely anything super serious.
If they start getting worse or you feel low energy, definitely see a doc just to be safe. But sounds like standard stoner dude syndrome to me from what you described haha. Hydrate up bro!
It could be a sign of a medical condition, or it could be caused by a medicine that you are taking. Better see a doctor.
